Since 1998, Glenammer has been raising the bar in the test sieves industry, leading the way in innovation, and helping customers throughout the world achieve the finest and most accurate samples. The company produces a range of high-end stainless steel test sieves, airjet sieves, and sieve shakers, to assist particle analysis, sample size grading, and material separation.
In the past 20 years the family-run business has increased turnover from £100,000 to over £1million, expanded its global presence significantly, now exporting to 70 countries worldwide, and have grown their workforce to 15. In 2016 founder Allen Matthews retired, and his daughter, Claire Wallis, now manages the business.
Glenammer bases it’s management model on the 5S implementation methodology of the Six Sigma technique, and Technical & Operations Adviser Daniel Smith, who is also part of the family, has recently achieved yellow belt certification in the model. The Six Sigma technique, which is used in companies such as Motorola and General Electric, aims to help companies improve business processes and achieve operational excellence.
Managing Director Claire Wallis comments: “It is an exciting time for us just now at Glenammer. Our rebranding is not just cosmetic and very much represents change. We have recently expanded our operations to a 7000 sq ft factory in order to allow us to control many of the sieve production processes in-house so we can improve efficiency and enhance product consistency, and we are continually looking at ways to develop the product range. We have invested in a new piece of machinery to ensure a more streamlined and consistent way of welding, and we will also be launching a new advanced sieve shaker next month.
The world around us is changing and at Glenammer we are determined to continue to lead the way in innovation, yet remain true to our core values of honesty, loyalty, customer satisfaction and perfection. We are extremely passionate about producing the highest quality of test sieves – we know that for our customers particle analysis is key and the most exacting standards are required, and our mission is to help our customers achieve the very best in their game.”
